I was an 80's kid all the way the   . the best I think was the music, even now I have an 80's station programmed into my radio and just get my freakin' jam on when Im feeling down, Prince, Depech mode Madonna, Cyndie Lauper, the Bangles, Guns N Rose's, Pat Benetar , Heart,  Joan Jett, INXS, Peter Gabriel, George Micheal, Kool and the Gang,  just to name some of my favorites. Ohh and lets talk about the  movies ! The best Movies were from the 80's.   Lost Boys the Best Movie EVER...license to Drive, Dream a little Dream...."can you tell I was quiet the Corey Haim fan" Pretty in Pink, the Breakfast Club, St Elmos Fire, Cherry 2000, A fish called Wanda, Nightmare on Elms street,Aliens, April Fools day " I still have this one VHS." Back to the Future, Caddy Shack, Childs Play, Cocktail, The Dead Zone , Desperately seeking Susan " I still have this one too."  Dirty Dancing, Earth Girls are easy LOVEed that one hahah..foot loose , ghost busters, Gremlins, Heathers another of my favorites love me some Christian Slater , the last unicorn hmm I gotta get this one for the kids, Mommie Dearest...no more wire hangers, Over board , poltergeist, Porke'ys, PURPLE RAIN," have this one on VHS and DVD".  Robo Cop , Scar face, Some kind of Wonderful...I watched this one with Michelle like 100 times , Soul man , stand by me, The Terminator " great movie" , Top Gun, Twins hah just watched this one recently still hilarious , Uncle buck , when Harry met sally aah what a classic and the last in the alphabet list Xanadu. My daughter Hope is one of the teenagers with an 80's buff mom and I never grew out of it so she knows the songs and movies, we were in the van jammin tonight to some 80's music. Hope is pretty Cool I guess, well not as cool as me but maybe she will grow into it. Being in jr high and in high school in the 80's was as good as it could be.  I had my group of friends and  we thought we were Normal and cool. We certainly dressed the part with our , florescent shirts,  leg warmers, multi pair of sock , acid wash, ooh the jeans the zippers at the bottoms the flaps at the top  the k-swiss the converse the 3-D Nikes, my silver penny loafers the big jewelry I never grew out of.  I wore like 12 watches and on that note the swatch watches ooh I had the clear one, I saved my money for like months!..Karen and I used to wear our sweatshirts inside out and backwards man we were cool! Oh and the hair I remember my mom perming  mine  with spiral perms. ooh the Big hair I had. Maybe that is why I wear it so short now to make up for the ozone layer I helped deplete with my aqua net hair spray in the big economy size aerosol can. My dad called may hair the great wall of china it was so high. I loved blow drying the sides out with my pick and my hair spray to get just the right "wing effect"
oh how I love the 80's even now, going to see 80's cover bands like Rock star and voodoo honey and going to the 80's fest in April in Frankenmuth we just still cant get enough.
stand up and yell it  WE GOTTA FIGHT FOR OUR RIGHT TO PAAAAARTAY! love me some Beaste boys !
thats it TTFN
Ps  the picture of the totally  hot chicks above are  the same girls on the left over there like 30 years later my girls are still my girls.

Hey mom, it's your awesome daughter Hope. I just want to say that I am cool but not as cool as you. Love you!!!! The 80's was a good time for music and the movies. I can't complain about listening to the music and watching the movies, hands down I love me some Cherry 2000. Best movie that I have seen. Gotta love those 80's tunes and movies.
